Little details

For Desirae's wedding, we ordered 100 vintage hankies on
ebay.  I rolled them up and pinned them with cute little pins,
put them in a basket that I embleshed with ribbon and
bling and added a sign.  This was at the back of the church
and each guest took a hankie and it was theirs to keep.

We took regular candles and embellished them with some
old pearl earrings and lace, added other embellishments
from the craft store and we had the perfect unity
candles for a vintage wedding.

We took some "T"'s from the craft store and embellished them
with old book pages and old songbook pages.  Added a little
lace and put them throughout the reception.

Any of this can be done for your big event also.
Just ask !!!!

Eggs in a nest

If you're going with the bird theme I have lots of eggs
and nests for your tables.  Shredded paper can be
added to the nests to make them perfectly vintage.

Bird Themed Wedding

These are all pictures from my youngest daughters
wedding.  She wanted a bird theme.
We used lots of cages, ironstone pitchers,
mercury glass votives, burlap and lace.

Notice the metal flower frog that we used to hold
the engagement photos.  There was a photo on almost
every guest table.

This was the sign in table that we decorated.

At the entrance of the church I embellished a basket with
lace, ribbon and a vintage brooch (sorry but she didn't get
a picture of that but I have one I will post later )
The basket was filled with vintage hankies that we got off
of ebay.  I rolled them and pinned and made a sign.

Grooms Cake Table

This is the crawfish boil themed cake table
I did for my Son-In-Law.

Obviously I didn't make the cake but we did the rest.
We could have just as much fun doing a fishing theme,
hunting, or anything else you wish for his special table.

The grooms family started the Trappey Food Company.
His mother provided us with some of the original Trappey
items that started the company off.

Rusty Shopping Cart

I can see this rusty old shopping cart sitting next to the
sign in table at a wedding.  You can fill it with gifts
or favors or anything else you can think of.

Louisiana Themed Rehearsal Dinner

This past weekend a friend of mine was hosting the
rehearsal dinner for her son's wedding.  Her daughter found
just what they wanted to do for decorations on Pinterest.
There were lots of helpers and it turned out fabulous.

These jugs were fabulous and I am going to find some to use
in my rental inventory.  The rest are mason and ball jars of
all different shapes and sizes with rock salt and candles.
Of course, you can't have this rustic theme without lots of burlap.

Once the candles were lit, this centerpiece was better than
the pictures that Jamie found.

My idea for the seating arrangement was to have each table represent a
little cajun town.  I have this magnetic chalk board that we used to hold
the seating charts.

Each table was decorated with the burlap, tree trunks and candles.
There were plants and little floral arrangements that the florist
took care of.  Martha is the owner of The Flower Shoppe on
North Third Street here in Monroe. (318-325-7885)
All you have to do is tell Martha what you want or show her a
picture as they did in this case - and it is done.
I can't say enough about her abilities.

This "Sweets Bar" was decorated with tree trunks
with glass on the top to hold cupcakes.  Lots of vintage and
mismatched jars for the candy.  Wine corks on sticks had the
names of the sweets and the food on it.
There was moss and hydrangeas on this table too.

Little tree trunk, candle and ivy vinyette to block the stairs.

I have this old chip clip that Jamie used to put all the invitations
to all the showers and parties that the couple had.
She decorated it with lots of cotton boles.
I think she did a great job.

We had quite a time hanging all the branches from the ceiling here.
It turned out beautifully though.  Then we hung spanish moss and
tin cans filled with baby's breath and more mason jars
with candles from the branches.  I went out of town the next morning
and didn't see the wedding or reception for the couple
but I just don't know how they topped this.

They only used my magnetic board and chip/photo clip for this one
but I have tree trunks and slabs and mason jars and will get more.
I can get Lisa over with her chain saw to cut more if we need to.
Watching her weild that chain saw was amazing.

Drink Tubs

We have several different drink tubs.
Love this possum belly green tub.

How about this double possum belly tub?

I also have a wash tub that sits on wooden legs.
I will post a picture soon.

Cupcake Cage

I love this cage.  It is made of chicken wire and
has 3 shelves.  I was looking at it and thinking that
some really pretty cupcakes would be perfect in the cage.
I had to go get my church pews so I asked KK and her friend to
make me 72 cupcakes (because that's how may paper thingy's we had).
Before I could get home to decorate them, a friends 20 foot tall Weimeraner (sp?)
had eaten over half of them from off the counter top.

TRUE STORY !!!!!

Each shelf has its own door that opens.

We had to improvise so we made some little bunts and a small cake.
I only wanted to point out how lovely and unique this cage would be
filled with cupcakes.  Can you see it even with my lack of cupcake decorating skills?

Moss (the dog) is fine.  She had to stay in the yard for SEVERAL hours
but she is none the worse for wear.

Bird Cages

We have at least a dozen bird cages.
All different colors, shapes and sizes.
3 of them are on stands.
I can get more.  :)

More Inventory

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to buy a bunch of
church pews.  Some of them are in bad condition
but some of the are beautifully scarred and perfectly vintage.

We set some of them up in the yard just
to show you how perfectly they would be in a wedding
or a bridal photo shoot.

Desirae picked some weeds wildflowers off the side of the road
while I stood by in the get away car.
Put them in a perfectly vintage ironstone pitcher
and there you have it.

These are battery operated candles that I fixed up with
burlap and a vintage rhinestone button.  Lace doillies everywhere.

I made this sign "Happily Ever After Starts Here"

More of the wildflowers, doillies, candles and nests.
Check out the vintage little bride and groom.

Bird Cages - this one has a "wish" sign on it.
this is the perfect size for holding the cards at your wedding.

 Burlap bunting flag.

Wildflowers in a vintage metal water pitcher.

Song of the Bride garland that I got off Etsy.
Made from an old song book.

You can always use a trunk right?

Some old balisters placed strategically.

Any of these items would be fabulous at your outdoor wedding or event.
